Check if you meet the HND entry requirements

To qualify for admission, you must meet these conditions:

• JAMB ND Admission: You must have been offered admission through JAMB during your ND programme. If you do not have a JAMB Admission Letter or Registration Number, you are not eligible for HND.
• ND Certificate: You need a valid National Diploma from Auchi Polytechnic or a recognised school. It must be in the same course you want to study at HND level.
• O’level Requirements:
  • Five credits in one sitting OR
  • Six credits in two sittings
  • Must include English Language and Mathematics
  • Subjects must be from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB

Extra subject requirements for certain departments

• Mass Communication: Credit in Literature in English
• Accountancy and Business Administration: Credit in Economics or Commerce
• Estate Management and Urban Planning: Credit in Economics or Geography

Industrial experience

• One year of post-ND work experience OR
• Two years if you had a pass grade in ND

If your ND was not from Auchi Polytechnic, you must submit your academic transcript before your HND application can be processed.

Follow these steps to apply for Auchi Polytechnic HND admission

Step 1: Pay the application fee

• Pay ₦20,000 through the Remita platform
• Start your payment from the official portal only
• Do not pay through any third-party website

Step 2: Fill the online form

• Visit the application portal
• Choose your programme (morning, evening, or degree)
• Click on Apply for 2025/2026 Auchi Polytechnic HND
• Fill in your details
• Create a username (preferably your phone number) and a secure password
• Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
• Pay at any bank or online using REMITA
• After payment, wait a few hours before returning to continue

Step 3: Complete and print your forms

• Log in with your details
• Finish your form and upload required documents
• Print:
  • One copy of the acknowledgement slip
  • Two copies of the application form
  • One application summary sheet
• Put two sets of photocopies of credentials, Remita e-receipt, birth certificate, and two passport photos in an envelope with the forms
