Herbert Olufunso Marcus Memorial Scholarship 2025

The Herbert Olufunso Marcus Memorial Scholarship is open to Nigerian students who:

• Are currently studying in a Nigerian university or tertiary institution, or
• Are waiting to be admitted into one

This scholarship is for those with financial need and a quiet strength of character. Even if your academic results are not top-tier, you can still apply—as long as you show personal growth, empathy, or leadership.

Applicants must show:

• Evidence of financial need
• Good academic standing, or clear examples of personal growth
• Strong values like honesty, responsibility, and compassion

Gather the documents you need

You will need to prepare and send these:

1. Personal essay
   
   You must respond to a given prompt. The full details will be shared in the application form.
2. One letter of recommendation
   
   This letter must come from someone who knows your character—such as a teacher, mentor, community leader, or family friend. It should explain how you have shown kindness, leadership, or growth.
3. Proof of enrolment or admission
   
   If you are already in school, submit a valid proof of studentship. If you are still waiting for admission, include a clear note that your admission is pending.
4. Last semester’s academic results
   
   Only required if you are already enrolled. If not available, your personal story and values will still be considered.
