LASUSTECH Indigeneship Verification Exercise 2025/2026

Lagos State students applying to LASUSTECH must complete the 2025 State of Origin Verification. This article covers the dates, process, and how to apply safely.

LASUSTECH 2025 SOVE: Lagos State Indigenes Must Verify Origin

Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has kicked off the State of Origin Verification Exercise (SOVE) for 2025/2026 admission. If you’re from Lagos and picked LASUSTECH as your first choice, this step is not optional. It’s the first gate to pass before Post-UTME.

Let’s keep it simple.

Who Needs To Do This?

You must take part if:

  • You’re from Lagos State
  • You picked LASUSTECH as first choice in the 2025 UTME
  • You scored 195 or above, or
  • You applied through Direct Entry

Anyone outside this box can skip this. This is strictly for Lagos State origin applicants.

Key Dates To Mark

  • Registration starts: Monday, 30 June 2025
  • Registration closes: Friday, 18 July 2025
  • Interviews hold between: Monday, 21 July and Friday, 26 July 2025

Your exact interview date will be printed on the application form, so don’t miss it.

What You Should Know Before Applying

This verification does not mean you’ve gained admission. It’s just part of the process for Lagos indigenes. You still need to pass other stages.

Also, if you’re not cleared during SOVE, you won’t be able to buy or submit the Post-UTME form. Simple as that.

How To Apply for SOVE

  1. Pay ₦5,000 through the official LASUSTECH SOVE portal
  2. Fill in your details carefully
  3. Print the application form with your interview date

No other link, no agent, no shortcut. The school has made it clear: if you pay through any other means, that’s on you.

A Word of Caution

Scammers often try to exploit these exercises. LASUSTECH has warned applicants not to send money to personal accounts or third-party platforms. Stick with the official portal. If you fall for tricks, the school won’t come to your rescue.
