LUTH Anaesthetic Technician Admission Form 2025/2026

The School of Anaesthetic Technician (SAT) at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has opened applications for its three-year Diploma Certificate Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This course trains students to assist Anaesthesiologists in hospitals, operating theatres, and emergency care. The programme mixes classroom lessons with hands-on experience in patient care.

Know the entry requirements for SAT admission

To apply for the Anaesthetic Technician course, you must:

• Have five O’level credits in no more than two sittings, including:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
• Take and pass the SAT department’s written and oral aptitude test, scoring at least 50%

The final selection is based on your performance in the test and approval by LUTH management.

Understand what you will learn during training

The SAT programme includes a mix of theory and practical lessons. You will be trained in:

• Basics of clinical medicine
• Ethics in medical work
• CPR and trauma care
• Handling of anaesthetic tools
• Monitoring patients and keeping clear records

You will also practise your skills in real hospital settings under supervision.

All applications are submitted online. Follow the steps below:

1. Visit the LUTH courses portal: luth.gov.ng/courses
2. Choose School of Anaesthetic Technician
3. Create an account with correct details and a working email
4. After signup, check your email for login details
5. Click Make Payment to be directed to Remita
6. Use the RRR code to pay the ₦10,000 application fee
7. Log in at luth.gov.ng/profile and fill out your application form
8. Submit the form and print your bio-data slip for the test

Apply before the deadline

The deadline is 12 weeks from the date of the announcement. Apply early to complete all steps on time.
