It’s that season again. Admission drama. Queue here, submit that, verify this, repeat. If you picked Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) as your first choice for 2025/2026, then this is for you.
The school has announced how this year’s Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening will go. And unlike the usual CBT frenzy, IAUE is going for something… different. A mix of tech and face-to-face, or what they simply call a hybrid screening.

So, What’s Happening?
From Monday, 18th August to Tuesday, 26th August, 2025, IAUE wants all Post UTME and Direct Entry applicants to show up at the ICT Centre, Rumuolumeni Campus in Port Harcourt.
It’s not another exam o. Don’t panic.
You won’t be writing any test. Instead, JAMB scores will carry full weight — 100%. That means, if your UTME result is solid and your documents are intact, you’re good to go.
What You’ll Do at the Screening
Here’s what the school will handle while you’re there:
- O’level and A’level result verification
- Biometric validation (you must show up physically)
- Data cross-check and ranking
All DE applicants will also be screened using the documents they uploaded, so make sure your results are clean and clear. If you haven’t already, get them verified on NIPEDS — that’s the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Data System.
And yes, even if you smashed JAMB but your course combo is off, IAUE might suggest you change your course. Don’t take it personal. It’s just part of ranking.
Watch Out for Your Email
IAUE says they’ll send a personalised invitation to each candidate. That message will have your screening date, venue and what to bring. So if you used someone’s email during registration, better go and collect it back.
What to Bring Along
Don’t show up empty-handed. Pack these items like your life depends on them:
- JAMB result slip
- Your O’level result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
- Post-UTME registration slip from IAUE’s portal
- A printout of the screening invite from your email
- For DE candidates: Original A’level results (NCE, ND, JUPEB, IJMB, etc.)
- A neat look — no rough dressing, no wild hairstyles. You no wan hear “next!” before entering
- Respect. Don’t misbehave. One wrong move and your file could waka
For Those with Awaiting Results
Still waiting for your WAEC or NECO result? Relax. You’re not disqualified.
Upload it as soon as it’s out, then visit the Admissions Unit for your physical screening. That goes for both UTME and DE folks.
Keep an Eye on the Portal and Social Media
IAUE made it clear — check their website and official social pages often. If you get any message, confirm it. They won’t take responsibility if you fall for one WhatsApp group scam.
And don’t forget: The contact info you gave during registration must be correct. No fake email or shared numbers. If your phone line is dead or unreachable, that one na your wahala.
