Prepare these documents before you apply

You must submit the full list of documents for your application to be valid:

  1. Valid ID (National ID, International Passport, or Voter’s Card)
  2. Admission letter or proof of studentship
  3. Most recent academic transcript or result showing CGPA
  4. 500-word personal statement
  5. Three signed and dated recommendation letters from different sources
  6. Passport-sized photo (recent and clear)

Guidelines for writing your personal statement

Your 500-word essay must include:

  • Your educational journey so far
  • Any achievements (academic or personal)
  • Challenges you have overcome
  • Your goals in education, career, and life
  • How the scholarship will help you succeed

Make sure your essay is clear, honest, and written by you without AI help. Errors, vague points, or copied content will lower your chances.

Tips for the three reference letters

  • Letters from the same source will lead to automatic disqualification
  • Use referees such as a lecturer, religious leader, or mentor
  • Letters must be on letterhead, signed, dated, and not older than one month

Follow these steps to apply online

  1. Check the eligibility list to be sure you qualify
  2. Scan and label all required documents (PDF or JPEG format, under 2MB each)
