NNPC-Renaissance JV 2025 Scholarship Open to Nigerian Undergrads

The NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture (Renaissance JV) has opened applications for its 2025 university scholarship scheme. This annual grant is aimed at helping Nigerian students stay focused on their studies without the burden of financial stress.

Applications opened on 20 June 2025 and will close on 25 July 2025. If you’re in your second year at a Nigerian university, this is worth checking out.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship comes in two categories:

  • National Merit Award – open to all Nigerian students.
  • Areas of Operation Merit Award – for students from Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, or Rivers States, where the company operates.

Both are based on merit, so grades matter.

Basic Requirements

To apply, you must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen.
  • Be enrolled full-time in a recognised university in Nigeria.
  • Currently be in 200 Level.
  • Have been admitted during the 2023/2024 academic year.
  • Not be enjoying any other oil and gas scholarship (whether local or foreign).

If you tick all these boxes, you’re good to go.

Privacy and Data Use

The Renaissance JV handles your personal data only for the scholarship process. They won’t sell it, market with it or share it without proper legal steps. You can also object if you feel your data’s being mishandled.

They’ve got safeguards in place to keep your info safe and won’t keep it longer than they need to.

How to Apply

You’ll need to fill the application online at the official NNPC-Renaissance JV Scholarship Portal.

Do not pay anyone. The application is completely free.

There are no agents or middlemen, and applying through any other channel will get you disqualified. If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be invited for a computer-based test. Only successful candidates from each stage will hear back.
