The school has officially opened up its Remedial Science Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. If you’re hoping to reset and make a strong comeback into uni life next year, this might be your moment.

Who Can Apply?
Let’s keep this straight. PLASU is looking for people who already have at least three credits in subjects like:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English Language
- Biology, Geography or even Technical Drawing
You don’t need all of them, just three. But the more you have, the better your chances of coping with the programme.
What Happens After the Programme?
Here’s the sweet part.
If you complete the remedial year, and you sit for the 2026 JAMB UTME and hit the university’s cut-off mark, then boom, you’re in. You’ll move into proper 100 level in one of the science-based courses. We’re talking:
- Natural and Applied Sciences
- Environmental Sciences
- Health Sciences
- Agricultural Science
- Pharmacy
- College of Medicine
Yes, even Medicine, but you have to work hard for that one o. No shortcuts.
One Small Thing to Keep in Mind
The classes are held at Obasanjo Model School ‘A’ in Hwolshe, Jos South LGA. So, this isn’t on the main PLASU campus. Also, accommodation isn’t part of the deal. No hostel. You’ll have to sort your own stay around town. Ask around, there are affordable spots if you know where to look.
How To Apply Online
Now to the part everyone skips to.
Everything is online. No paper wahala.
Just go to the PLASU Remedial Application Portal and follow the steps. The form is pretty easy to fill. As long as your network behaves and you’ve got your details ready, it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes.
