SLU University Preparatory Programme Admission From 2025/2026

Sule Lamido University (SLU), Kafin Hausa, through its School of Preliminary and Continuing Education, has opened applications for the 2025/2026 University Preparatory Programme (UPP).

The programme aims to build up students who need extra academic support before fully starting their degree. If you complete it and meet both UTME and O-level requirements, you’ll be admitted into 100-level at SLU.

Subjects Offered

Courses in the programme cut across three main areas:

• Sciences
• Humanities
• Social and Management Sciences

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, you need:

• Five O-level credits (including Maths and English) in no more than two sittings
• Or, at least three credits, with a chance to make up the missing ones before joining a full degree programme

To move into a degree course after the programme, you must pass the UPP, have five O-level credits, and meet the school’s UTME score.

If you pass the UPP but still lack either the required UTME points or some O-levels, your result stays valid for the next two sessions.

Programme Duration

The UPP runs for one academic session only.
