UCH Ibadan is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 Community Health Officers Training Programme. If you meet the academic and professional requirements, you can apply online and prepare for the entrance exam. Keep reading to find out the steps, documents, and who qualifies.

Apply for UCH Ibadan Community Health Officers Programme 2025

To apply for the UCH Ibadan Community Health Officers Training Programme, you must meet both academic and professional conditions.

Check if you meet the entry requirements

Educational qualifications (for all applicants)

You must have at least five credits in one or two sittings from the same exam body in:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Accepted exam bodies: WAEC, NECO, or GCE O-Levels

Professional qualifications

The programme offers two pathways based on your past training and experience:

For the two-year programme

You must have one of the following:

  • A Diploma in Community Health with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience
  • A Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) Certificate with 5 years of experience
  • Be registered with CHPRBN and have a valid practising licence

For the one-year programme

You must:

  • Be a qualified Community Health Extension Worker
  • Hold a first degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, or Public Health, or an HND in Community Health
  • Have a valid practising licence

Follow the steps to apply online

You must complete the application through the UCH Schools Portal. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the portal and click on REMITA PAYMENT
  2. Pay ₦20,000 for the application form
  3. Sign up using your RRR, email, and password used for payment
  4. Log in to continue the application
  5. Download the Applicants’ User Guide from the portal
  6. Complete the form online
  7. Print two copies of your application and photocard
  8. Bring both to the examination centre on the exam day

Prepare for the exam and follow updates

The exam date will be sent to your email and shared through official channels. You will need to bring the printed forms on the test day.
