YABATECH Exam Postponed: New Date for First Semester 2024/2025

Well, it’s official. If you’ve been panicking over those fast-approaching YABATECH exams, take a deep breath. The first semester exams for the 2024/2025 session have been pushed forward. You now have more time to revise or, let’s be honest, even start reading.

So What Happened?

On Tuesday, 5 August 2025, the Academic Board at Yaba College of Technology held a meeting. And by the end of that meeting, they decided to shift the first semester exams from Monday, 11 August to Monday, 25 August 2025. Two whole weeks.

Not exactly the kind of delay that calls for a party, but still, it’s something.

Why the Change?

The reason isn’t complex. The board wants students to have enough time to prepare. Simple. Whether that means catching up on lectures you ghosted or finally opening those notes you kept ignoring, you’ve got a small window now. Use it wisely.

What Now?

Students and staff are expected to work with the new timeline. That means all class activities, clearance, and other related stuff should line up with the fresh exam date. No excuses.

If you’re full-time, this directly concerns you. Don’t wait until last minute cram. You know how time flies when you’re not looking.
