Adamwa State University (ADSU) Easter public holidays and resumption date for staff and students in April 2026

ADSU has informed staff and students that the Federal Government has declared Friday, 3 April 2026, and Monday, 6 April 2026, as public holidays for Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The notice states that security staff and other essential service personnel will remain on duty during the holiday period. Normal work will return on Tuesday, 7 April 2026; that date is the official resumption point for regular activities.

Easter public holiday dates at ADSU

The two public holidays listed in the notice are clear.

They are:

• Friday, 3 April 2026, for Good Friday
• Monday, 6 April 2026, for Easter Monday

These are the dates staff and students are expected to observe at ADSU.

Staff on essential duties will remain at work

Security staff and other essential service personnel will work during the public holiday. That means the break does not cover every worker on campus.

ADSU resumption date after Easter break

ADSU said normal work will resume on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

For staff and students, that is the date when regular duties and campus activity return after the Easter break.
