LASU Opay National Challenge 2026 for Students

Lagos State University, through the Centre for the Actualisation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, LASU-SDG, has invited LASU students to take part in the Opay National Innovation Challenge 2026.

The invitation is in collaboration with Opay Digital Services Limited. The challenge is presented as a national initiative meant to promote creativity, student ideas and technology-driven solutions among students.

Who can take part

The notice is for students of Lagos State University.

Students who want to take part are expected to organise themselves into teams before the application process opens.

Team requirement for the challenge

Interested students are to form five-member teams.

That is one rule no applicant should miss; entries are to come from teams, not from single applicants.

What each team must submit

Each team is required to develop and submit a tangible idea through the Opay Application Portal.

The notice describes the idea as one that must be tangible and new. Submission will be done through the named portal.

When the Opay application portal will open

The Opay application portal is scheduled to open in March 2026.

For that reason, prospective participants are advised to begin team formation ahead of time. A team put together early has more time to prepare its entry; the notice says as much in plain terms.
