Federal University of Lafia, FULAFIA, has recorded 100 per cent full accreditation status for all academic programmes assessed by the National Universities Commission, NUC, in 2025.
That is the core news from the university.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, described the result as a major point in FULAFIA’s push for academic quality and growth. He tied the outcome to the work done before, during and after the NUC exercise.
Vice-Chancellor speaks on the accreditation result
Prof. Kida expressed deep appreciation to the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of FULAFIA, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, under whose leadership the accreditation exercise was conducted.
He also commended Prof. Ilemona Adofu, the immediate past Director of Academic Planning and current Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, for coordinating the accreditation process with resilience, diligence and doggedness.
The Vice-Chancellor praised Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments for their cooperation, dedication and shared work; their effort helped ensure that “all programmes presented for accreditation met required standards.”
What the result means for FULAFIA
Prof. Kida said the result reflects FULAFIA’s sustained investment in human capital and infrastructure development, as well as its adherence to NUC regulatory benchmarks.
For students, staff and other stakeholders, the message is direct.
FULAFIA has passed the NUC review for all programmes assessed in 2025 and secured full accreditation status across those presented programmes.
FULAFIA’s next step
The Vice-Chancellor assured stakeholders that the university would build on the gains recorded from the accreditation outcome.
He also stated that FULAFIA would continue to uphold high academic standards in teaching, research and community service.
