FUOTUOKE Business School Admission Form 2026/2027

Federal University Otuoke Business School, FUOBS, has opened applications for the 2026/2027 academic session. The Business School offers certificate and short courses, Executive and Professional Master’s, regular Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, Professional Doctorate, and Special Intervention Programme options; the range is Broad, and the admission process is clearly laid out.

The school also states that its technology supports hybrid, in-person, or strictly virtual learning.

FUOBS Entry Requirements

The entry requirements are grouped by programme type.

Certificate programme requirement

The minimum entry requirement for any certificate programme is five passes, including Mathematics and English Language, in the Leaving Certificate or a High School Diploma equivalent.

PGD requirement

For the PGD programme, applicants must have:

• Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’Level, and
• A bachelor’s degree not lower than third class in a relevant discipline from a recognised university, or
• A bachelor’s degree with at least second-class lower division in an area not related to Business Administration or Management Sciences, or
• A Higher National Diploma at upper credit level in a relevant area

Executive and Professional Master’s requirement

For the Executive and Professional Master’s programme, applicants must have:

• A minimum of five years working experience in industry, organisation or business, plus
• An honours bachelor’s degree, or Higher National Diploma, or Postgraduate Diploma in any discipline, irrespective of class

Regular M.Sc. requirement

For the regular M.Sc. programme, applicants must have:

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of second-class lower division from a recognised university, or
• A Postgraduate Diploma from a recognised school with cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a five-point scale or 2.50 on a four-point scale

Regular Ph.D. requirement

For the regular Ph.D. programme, candidates must possess a good master’s degree with 3.5 CGPA on a 5.00-point scale in any discipline related to management, business, social, or behavioural sciences, or any related discipline.

Duration of FUOBS Programmes

The Business School states the duration for each category as follows.

Certificate and short course duration

The duration for certificate and short course programmes is between three weeks and six months, depending on the programme.

PGD duration

The PGD programme runs for:

• Two semesters minimum and four semesters maximum
• Part-time: four semesters minimum and six semesters maximum

Regular and Executive or Professional Master’s duration

The regular and Executive or Professional Master’s programmes run for:

• Two semesters minimum
• Four semesters maximum

Regular and Professional Ph.D. duration

The regular and Professional Ph.D. programmes run for:

• Six semesters minimum
• Eight semesters maximum

How to Apply for FUOBS Admission

Candidates seeking admission into FUOBS programmes can complete the online application form after payment of a non-refundable application fee through the Remita platform in any designated bank.

Applicants should visit the FUO portal and follow the steps stated by the school:

• Click on FUOBS Business School Application Form to generate invoice for payment
• Use a phone number to generate the invoice so the University can reach the applicant for other information
• Proceed to any bank for payment
• Return to the FUO portal and complete the form

FUOBS Application Fees

The application fees are listed as follows:

• Certificate programmes: N25,000.00
• PGD, M.Sc., Ph.D.: N30,000.00
• Executive or Professional Master’s: N50,000.00

Referees’ Reports and Transcript Rule

Applicants are to fill in their referees’ full names and email addresses online. A link will be sent to the referees by email, and the referees are to complete the online referee forms and submit them online.

Applicants are also expected to submit hard copies of their referee reports with other documents for admission processing. The school states that applications will not be processed unless the referees’ reports are available.

Candidates should also download the transcript request forms provided online and submit them to their former universities or schools. Those schools are to forward the forms, with copies of academic transcripts, to:

The school states that this must be done not later than one month from the date of the advert or publication. It also states that applications without transcripts will not be processed.

Submission of Completed Application Forms

Candidates will complete most parts of the application online. After that, a copy of the completed online application form should be downloaded and printed.
