FUTES-IYIN Resumption Date for 2nd Semester 2025/2026

Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, has fixed Monday, 11 May 2026, for the start of second semester academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The date follows the close of first semester examinations, which ended on Friday, 24 April 2026. After the exams, the university gave students a two-week semester break to rest, recover from the exam period and prepare for fresh academic work.

FUTES-IYIN 2nd Semester Resumption Date

FUTES-IYIN students are expected back on campus on Monday, 11 May 2026.

Management, through a statement made available to the press, asked students and staff to return promptly so the academic calendar can continue without delay; this applies to lectures, departmental work and other school activities tied to the new semester.

The message was clear. Students should not treat the resumption date as a loose guide.

Why the Break Was Given

The first semester break gave students time to rest after their examinations.

It also gave them room to reflect on the past semester and prepare for the next phase of academic work, especially as the university expects them to return with focus, discipline and commitment to excellence.
