JAMB Monday UTME Results Released

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday, 20 April 2026.

JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday. He directed affected candidates to the board’s standard result-checking channels.

“The results for Monday, 20th, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement read.

For candidates who sat on Monday, the wait is over; the board has now moved that Batch into the public result window.

How candidates can check Monday’s UTME results

Candidates can access their scores by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 through SMS.

The message must be sent with the same phone number used for registration. That remains the route stated by the board for this release.

Anyone who needs the full process can read this guide to checking JAMB result.

Where Monday’s release fits in the 2026 UTME schedule

Monday’s release is the latest in JAMB’s series of Daily result announcements since the 2026 UTME started on Thursday, 16 April.

The exercise involves over two million candidates writing computer-based tests at centres across the country. JAMB has been publishing results in batches that match each examination day.

The board started with the results of candidates who sat on Thursday. After that, it moved to a combined batch for Friday, 17 April, and Saturday, 18 April.

What happened with the Friday and Saturday batch

The Friday-Saturday batch came later than many candidates expected.

JAMB had first indicated that those results would be available on Saturday, but that did not happen. Candidates waited through the night as the release failed to meet the earlier timeline.

The board later apologised and linked the delay to the absence of its chief executive, who was away on an official engagement. A fuller account appears in this report on why the Friday-Saturday result batch was delayed.

Those results were later published on Sunday, 19 April. After that, the board processed and released the Monday batch.

What this means right now

As of Tuesday’s update, candidates who sat the UTME on Monday, 20 April 2026, can check their results through JAMB’s usual SMS channels.

That release keeps the board’s day-by-day pattern in view, even after the delay that affected the Friday and Saturday batch.
