Kwara State Polytechnic HND Admission Form

Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has opened applications for admission into its Higher National Diploma (HND) full-time and part-time programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The form is for qualified candidates who want to study any of the listed HND courses at the Polytechnic. Applicants should read the course list, entry rules, payment guide, and closing date before starting the online application.

The HND admission covers full-time and part-time study. Both categories run for two academic sessions.

HND full-time programmes

The following full-time HND programmes are available at Kwara State Polytechnic for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Kwara State Polytechnic HND admission requirements

Applicants seeking admission into the HND programmes must hold a National Diploma (ND) with at least Lower Credit in a relevant field.

They must also have five relevant O’Level credit passes from WASSCE, GCE, NECO, SAISSCE (NBAIS), or NABTEB at not more than two sittings. English Language and Mathematics must be included, along with three other relevant credit passes.

Candidates must show evidence of one year post-ND cognate experience, also known as Industrial Training.

Applicants with a Pass grade in ND must have at least two years of post-ND industrial experience. This applies to candidates whose ND result falls below Lower Credit.

Course-specific HND entry rules

Applicants for Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology, Post-Harvest Technology option, must have at least Lower Credit in ND from any of these areas:

  • Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
  • Agricultural Technology
  • Agricultural Engineering Technology
  • Food Science Technology

Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology must hold an ND in Mineral Resources Engineering Technology, Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering Technology, or Mining Engineering Technology only.

Holders of ND in Welding and Fabrication can apply for HND Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing option.

Candidates will not be admitted into HND programmes different from their ND programmes, except under the listed special cases above. Holders of ND Mass Communication will not be admitted into HND Public Administration.

Holders of ND Computer Engineering will not be admitted into HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or HND Computer Science programmes.

JAMB registration number rule for HND full-time applicants

All HND full-time applicants must fill in the JAMB registration number used for their ND programmes.

Only applicants with JAMB registration numbers will be considered for admission. This rule applies to full-time HND applicants.

How to apply for Kwara State Polytechnic HND admission form

Applications for HND full-time and part-time admission must be completed online.

Applicants should visit the Kwara State Polytechnic application portal and follow the instructions on the page.

All HND applicants must upload their ND and O’Level results. They must also forward their academic transcripts to the Registrar, Kwara State Polytechnic, before their admission can be processed.

Application fee and payment details

The HND application processing fee is Twenty Five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00).

This fee does not include bank or other transaction charges. Payment must be made through College Pay using a Debit Card, Master Card, or Prepaid Card.

Other admission notes for applicants

All HND part-time students will not be mobilised for NYSC.

The Polytechnic will not entertain change of name requests; the name used during admission will remain the same throughout the programme.
