KWASU NUC Accreditation: 9 Undergraduate Programmes Get Full Status

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has received full accreditation for all 9 undergraduate programmes presented during the October/November 2025 accreditation round.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) conveyed the result through a letter dated 7 April 2026.

The accreditation result was addressed to the Visitor to Kwara State University, Malete, and Governor of Kwara State.

The letter was signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, and it confirmed that every programme presented by KWASU in the exercise gained full accreditation status.

Short and clear: all 9 programmes passed.

Validity of the Full Accreditation Status

The notice stated that the full accreditation status is valid for the statutory 3 years.

That means the listed undergraduate programmes now carry full NUC accreditation for that period, as stated in the notice.

Vice-Chancellor Reacts to the Accreditation Result

The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, expressed joy over the successful accreditation result.

He congratulated the Visitor to the University and the KWASU community, while noting that the successful reaccreditation of the 9 programmes reflected the commitment of stakeholders to sustain the quality of education offered by the university.

Professor Jimoh urged members of the university community to keep giving premium service.

He also stated that the management would keep working for the growth of KWASU, following the full accreditation granted to the 9 undergraduate programmes.
