NEU Gombe Matriculates Students, Announces 50% Scholarship for Science Courses

North-Eastern University, Gombe, has matriculated a new batch of students for the 2025/2026 academic session. At the event, the founder announced a 50 per cent tuition scholarship for selected science programmes.

The update centres on two big points; student matriculation and a fee reduction for named courses. The university says about 450 students have been admitted in the current session.

NEU Gombe Matriculation for 2025/2026

The Pro-Chancellor and Founder, Dr Sani Jauro, Danlawan of Gombe, said about 450 students have secured admission for the session.

He described North-Eastern University as a modern, digital university set up to tackle challenges in Nigeria’s higher education system.

The scholarship, as stated at the event, is aimed at preparing students for future industry demands.

Accreditation Update

Dr Jauro also said that all programmes presented for accreditation have received full approval.

He linked that outcome to the university’s place among emerging top universities in the country.

Messages to Students

The matriculation event also carried direct messages to the newly admitted students.

Vice-Chancellor’s Message

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Yusuph Amuda Yahaya, urged students to remain disciplined and stay away from negative behaviours.

He said success depends on responsibility and self-control. He also said the university promotes equality and gives students a voice through its representative system.

Graduation Timeline

The university is expected to produce its first set of graduates by June 2026.

That timeline places the school at a key stage; one marked by a growing student body, full approval for presented programmes, and a clear scholarship offer for selected science fields.
