JAMB releases 2026 UTME mock results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, mock exam.

Candidates who took part in the mock exercise can now check their results through the SMS method stated by the Board. For those who sat the test, the next step is simple; send the required message and wait for the response.

How to check JAMB 2026 mock result by SMS

To check the 2026 UTME mock result, the candidate should create an SMS with the two words joined together as “MOCKRESULT” and send it to 55019 or 66019.

The message must be sent with the same phone line used for JAMB registration. The candidate must also have at least N50 airtime credit balance on that line.

Number of candidates who registered and sat for the mock

JAMB stated that 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination.

Out of that figure, 152,586 candidates successfully sat for the test across 989 Computer-Based Test, CBT, centres nationwide.

CBT centres delisted after the mock exam

After the exercise, JAMB delisted more than 20 CBT centres over inadequacies linked to technical issues.

JAMB warns candidates against fraudsters

The Board warned candidates to avoid fraudsters, especially people on WhatsApp who claim they can alter or raise scores.

JAMB said such acts are criminal. It added that anyone caught may face severe sanctions, including cancellation of registration or withdrawal of results after the examination.

Main 2026 UTME date

JAMB also reminded candidates that the main UTME will begin on Thursday, 16 April 2026.
