RSU Postgraduate Admission Form 2026/2027

Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has opened applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Suitably qualified candidates can apply for postgraduate study across listed faculties, institutes and centres. The form is available online through the RSU eCampus portal, while applicants must also submit hard copies and required documents after completing the form.

The RSU Postgraduate Admission Form covers several academic and professional awards for the 2026/2027 session.

The University is receiving applications for the following qualifications:

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
• Master’s Degrees, including MSc, MEd, MA, MTech and LLM
• Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
• Professional Master’s and Doctorate Degrees

This gives applicants different study routes, based on their academic record and chosen field.

RSU Postgraduate Application Fees

The application fee depends on the programme type.

• Standard Postgraduate Programmes: 60,000
• Sandwich Programmes: 50,000

How to Apply for RSU Postgraduate Admission

Candidates must complete the application form online through the RSU postgraduate application portal.

Applicants should fill out the online form, make the required payment, and follow the portal instructions.

After completing the online form, applicants must submit hard copies with the required documents, including certificates.

Required Documents for RSU Postgraduate Application

Applicants must prepare the documents stated by the University.

The requirements include:

• Completed online application form
• Hard copies of the required documents
• Certificates
• Academic transcripts sent directly by previous schools
• Three referee reports
• Research proposal for PhD applicants

For academic transcripts, previous schools must send them directly. Applicants should handle this early, since late transcripts can slow the file; small delays do happen.

RSU PhD Application Requirement

PhD applicants must include a research proposal as part of the application.

This requirement is separate from the general documents listed for all applicants.

The deadline for all RSU postgraduate applications is Monday, 31 August 2026.
