AAU Ekpoma Updates Transcript Policy From January 2026

The Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Professor Eunice O. Omonzejie, has approved a fresh policy on how students’ academic transcripts will be issued. The update takes effect from January 2026.

The approval was given on behalf of the University Senate. It brings changes meant to make AAU academic records clearer and more accepted outside Nigeria too, which students usually need for school and work abroad.

What Changes on AAU Transcripts

Under the new policy, students’ copies of academic transcripts will now include:

  • Examination scores
  • The matching grades

This is different from the old format, which showed grades only. So a student’s transcript will read more like a full record, not half of it.

Graduating Students Must Collect Personal Copies

AAU also said it is now compulsory for all graduating students to obtain their own personal copies of academic transcripts. The University said this should follow the same kind of approach used for academic certificates, so nobody says later they did not know.

Why AAU Made the Update

The University explained that the updated transcript policy is meant to:

  • make records more open and easier to understand
  • support international acceptance of AAU academic results
  • meet document needs for foreign universities, professional bodies, and credential checking agencies
  • give complete academic records for school and job applications

Registrar’s Message

The Registrar, Mrs. Oluwayomi O. Agbebaku (MANUPA, MNIM), passed on the approval and told relevant offices to start the new policy without delay. Some people may still need time to adjust, but the direction is to begin.
