ABU Zaria 2025/2026 mop-up bedspaces: hostels

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has released additional bedspaces for the mop-up phase of the 2025/2026 undergraduate accommodation exercise. The update came from the Student Affairs Division.
When reservation and payment start
The final set of available bedspaces opens for reservation and payment on Saturday, January 17, 2026, by 8:00 a.m. Students who secure a space should Pay promptly; the university warned that failure to pay after reservation may lead to revocation.
Hostels available for female students
Female students (new and returning) can secure bedspaces in:
- Ramat Blocks F, G, and H
- Suleiman Hall (A Blocks)
The university expects renovation work at the Ramat Blocks to finish over the weekend (a small but welcome detail for anyone eyeing those blocks).
Hostels available for male students
Male students are allocated bedspaces in:
- Danfodio Extension Blocks 1 and 2
- Shehu Idris Hall
Hostels already fully reserved
ABU said all other male and female hostels are already fully reserved, including:
- Amina Hall
- Ribadu Hall
- Alexander Hall
- Suleiman F Blocks
So, the mop-up options above are the remaining spaces on offer, in this final release for the exercise.
Hall rules students must follow
The Student Affairs Division reminded students to stick to the Hall Residency Regulations. The notice highlighted a few points students should not treat lightly:
- No writing on walls (walls are not notebooks)
- Use electricity responsibly
- Report room-related issues to hall administrators
ABU added that students will be held accountable for any damage to rooms or hostel blocks, and they will pay for the damage.
