The management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has announced a two-day mandatory library orientation exercise for all National Diploma (ND I) and Higher National Diploma (HND I) students, both full-time and part-time.
The announcement came through a circular from the Office of the Registrar; Godswill E. Udofah, MNIM, Acting Registrar, signed it.
Date and venue
The orientation is scheduled to hold from Tuesday, 20th to Wednesday, 21st Jan 2026.
Venue is the Polytechnic Library Conference Hall (Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua).

Who must attend
The exercise is compulsory for all affected students: ND I and HND I, full-time as well as part-time. No mix-up; if a student falls into those categories, attendance applies.
Purpose of the orientation
According to the notice, the exercise aims to promote reading habits and acquaint students with the resources and services available at the Polytechnic Library.
Lecture, test and exam-free days
To secure full participation, the Polytechnic declared each day of the exercise as lecture, test, and examination-free for students in the respective schools. That is the arrangement stated in the circular.
