JAMB Grants One-Week Extension for Candidates Switching to FUNATO

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Oyo (FUNATO), Prof. Jacob Babayemi, has appealed to the management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to allow more time for prospective candidates to change their choice of institution to FUNATO.

After the Vice-Chancellor’s request, JAMB approved a one-week extension for access to its portal as a temporary step. The extension is meant to help interested candidates make the change and finish the needed steps without rushing too much, though it’s still a short window.

What the One-Week Extension Means

With this extra week, candidates who want FUNATO can go on the JAMB portal and update their institution of choice. They should also complete any other required parts of the process during the approved period, so they do not get stuck later.

Advice to Candidates and Parents

Parents, guardians, and prospective candidates have been advised to use this time well. If a candidate plans to switch to FUNATO, it is better they do it within the approved week, because the extension is not open-ended.
