Crescent University Abeokuta, also called CUAB by many students, has started admission for its part-time degree courses.

The programmes run through the Centre for Sub and External Degree Programmes, known on campus as CESEDEP.

The school released an admission guide showing that forms are open for several courses across selected colleges. These part-time options are meant for people who need a flexible study plan, including workers and those changing their study path.

The programmes also accept candidates applying for conversion admission. This is helpful for those moving from diploma or similar routes.

General entry needs

Applicants are expected to have:

  • Higher National Diploma with a good grade from a recognised school
  • Five O’Level credits, English Language and Mathematics included, plus three related subjects
  • ND and A’ Level holders may also apply

The school checks documents carefully, so papers should be clear and complete.

How to apply

Each candidate must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦10,000 into the Crescent Project Account.

After payment, applicants may either:

  • Complete registration through the Crescent University official website admission page at cuab.edu.ng
  • Visit the Centre directly for face-to-face registration

Filled forms should be returned to the Centre with photocopies of these items:

  • Application form receipt
  • Academic papers such as HND, ND, WAEC or NECO
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Local Government ID
  • Passport photos. Female applicants should cover their heads
  • Two reference letters
  • Proof of JAMB registration
  • NIN slip
  • NYSC discharge paper, where it applies

Missing documents may slow things down, so students should double-check.

Lecture days and time

Classes will run on:

  • Friday: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Saturday: 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Sunday: 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm

This schedule suits people who work during the week, though weekends may feel long, honestly.

School fees

  • Acceptance fee: ₦40,000
  • Tuition: ₦200,000 per session
  • Computer connectivity: ₦35,000 per session
  • Matriculation and ID card: ₦10,000
  • Screening and admin charges: ₦7,000
  • Portal fee: ₦5,000 per session

Before resumption, students must pay 70 percent of the tuition, which is ₦140,000, along with acceptance, screening, admin, and matriculation fees. All payments go into the Crescent Project Account, and the school does not return fees once paid.

Other study options

Crescent University also runs an Advanced Level Programme under the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB). Applicants need six O’Level credits, with English Language and Mathematics included.
