Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo Registration 2025/2026: Dates (5 to 26 January 2026), Portal Login Steps, Acceptance Fee RRR, HOD Clearance, and File Submission
Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo has announced the start of registration for the 2025/2026 academic session. The notice covers fresh students, returning students, and the general public. Registration will run from 5 January 2026 to 26 January 2026.
Short window, yes. Students should not wait till the last week. That last-week rush is always noisy.
Anyway, the school also set clear stages for newly admitted candidates. The steps below follow the order given in the notice.
Registration procedures for newly admitted candidates
Step 1: Print JAMB documents
Admitted candidates should print:
- the admission letter
- the UTME result
They should print both from the JAMB portal (E-Facilities).
Step 2: Pay acceptance fee (RRR)
Candidates should generate an RRR and pay the acceptance fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) only.
A quick note: the student should keep the payment proof safe. It will come up again.
Step 3: Log in on the Polytechnic portal and complete screening form
After paying the acceptance fee, candidates should go to the polytechnic website and open the student portal.

Then the candidate completes the screening form. This step comes after payment, not before. People flip it sometimes.
Step 4: Log in again for subsequent access and print registration documents
After the initial registration, candidates should log in again for later access.

Candidates then print the confirmation letter and other registration documents, including:
- Schedule of Fees
- Registration Procedures
- Acceptance of Offer of Provisional Admission
- Student’s Next of Kin Form
- Matriculation Oath Form
- Verification of Registration Requirements
- Oath of Allegiance Form
- Dress Code, etc.
That reminds some students: “etc.” still means “print what the portal provides”. If the portal shows it, print it. Simple.
Step 5: Departmental clearance with the HOD
Candidates should report to their Head of Department (HOD) with:
- original credentials
- evidence of UTME result slip
- the printed documents from Step 4
The HOD will check the credentials and then clear the candidate on the portal for the next stage.
This part matters. Without clearance, the next payment step may not show.
Step 6: Generate RRR for registration fee
Only candidates cleared by the HOD will have access to generate the RRR for the registration fee. The RRR uses the JAMB number.
Step 7: Pay the registration fee at bank or online
Students should take the generated RRR and pay through the bank or online. The notice advises students to confirm the amount from the Bursary Department before payment. So yes, confirm the figure before money leaves the account. People hate refunds.
Step 8: Register semester courses and print key forms
After payment and after HOD approval, students should use the portal to:
- register semester courses
- print the semester registration form
- print the bio-data form
- print the Examination Eligibility Card
The paid RRR number from Step 7 opens access to this function.
Step 9: Convert RRR receipts at the Bursary Department
Students should present the RRR receipts to the Bursary Department for conversion to receipts.
On a side note, some students ignore this and keep only the bank slip. Then they get stuck later. Better to do the conversion early.
Step 10: Report to Academic Secretary’s Office for student files
Students should take their original credentials to the registration officers at the Academic Secretary’s Office. The student will receive two copies of customised student files.
Step 11: Fill and submit the two student files
Finally, students should insert all relevant credentials into the two files and submit them to:
- Office of the Head of Department
- Office of the Registrar (Academic Secretary’s Office)
That’s it. Not magic. Just steps, and the student follows them in order.
