Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro extends service charges payment deadline

Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro sets 30 January 2026 as final service charges payment deadline for new and returning students

The Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, has announced a final extension for the payment of approved service charges for newly admitted students.

The notice was sent in an internal memo issued by the Registrar. The memo is dated 5 January 2026. It refers to an earlier memo dated 17 December 2025.

Management had set an earlier payment deadline of 31 December 2025. The memo reports that some newly admitted students did not meet that deadline.

Reason given for the final extension

Management linked the extension to the release of an extra admission list. This is the Third List for:

  • ND Full-Time programmes
  • ND Part-Time programmes

Management approved the new deadline as a final extension, for fairness. One last chance.

New payment deadline

The approved service charges must be paid on or before Friday, 30 January 2026.

Who the extension is for

Management stated that the extension is for newly admitted students whose names will appear on the forthcoming admission list.

Who the extension is not for

Management stated that the extension does not cover students who were admitted earlier and did not pay by the initial deadline of 31 December 2025.

The memo warns that such students risk losing their admission slot. Those slots will be given to candidates on the Third Admission List.

Direction for returning students

Management also directed all returning students to pay approved service charges on or before Friday, 30 January 2026. This is linked to preparation for Continuous Assessments and examinations.

The memo states that failure to pay will attract sanctions.

Access restrictions for non-payment

Management warned that any student, new or returning, who does not pay the approved service charges will be denied access to Polytechnic facilities and services, including:

  • Lecture halls and attendance at lectures
  • Medical services
  • Library services
  • Laboratories and workshops
  • Examinations and other academic activities
  • Any other Polytechnic facility or service

The memo states that no student will be allowed to take part in academic or non-academic activity without proof of full payment.

No appeal. No more time after 30 January 2026.
