FPTB Admission 2025/2026: New ND and HND Courses Released

The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB) has started its admission exercise for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. This intake includes all existing programmes and a wide range of newly approved courses across different schools.

School management confirmed that the new programmes were added to give students more practical study options and better career paths. Both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates can apply, as long as entry rules are met.

School of General Studies

• HND Crime Management
• HND Mass Communication with options in:
  • Strategic Communication and Media Studies (Public Relations, Advertising, Development Communication)
  • Film and Multimedia Production
  • Journalism and Media Studies (Print, Broadcast, Digital Journalism)

School of Management Science

• HND Taxation
• HND Corporate Economic and Management
• ND Procurement and Supply Chain Management

School of Science Technology

• HND Computer Science with specialisations in:
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cyber Security and Data Protection
  • Networking and Cloud Computing
  • Software and Web Development
• HND Science Laboratory Technology with option in:
  • Environmental Biology

Application procedure

Applicants should apply through the official Federal Polytechnic Bauchi admission portal at portal.fptb.edu.ng

On the portal, applicants need to select Online Admission, enter their details, and generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR). After payment, they must return to the portal to complete the form using the application number and phone number used earlier. Missing steps can cause delays, so it helps to double check entries.

The application fee is ₦6,500 and it is not refundable. This fee applies to all applicants except those applying for ND programmes. Payment can be made at any bank or online through Remita.

Important notice for applicants

Only candidates who selected Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi as their First Choice in JAMB will be considered. Anyone who did not choose the Polytechnic earlier must visit a JAMB office to make a change of institution before applying.

ND candidates are also expected to accept and print their JAMB admission letters within four weeks of admission. Failure to do this may lead to losing the offer, which many students forget and regret later.

Applicants are advised to read every instruction on the portal carefully before submitting their forms. Rushing the process often leads to small mistakes that become big problems later.
