The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi (FPTB) has opened applications for its 2025/2026 session Upgrade Programme. The programme is for former graduates of the Polytechnic who obtained a Pass classification in either the National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND).
The Polytechnic stated that it set up the programme in response to community demand; it allows alumni to upgrade Pass-level results to meet the Polytechnic’s approved standards.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the stated conditions:
- The applicant must be a former ND or HND graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi with a Pass result.
- The applicant must hold at least five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Programme Structure and Delivery
The Upgrade Programme runs for one academic session, split into two semesters. Lectures will be delivered through a blended format; participants attend physical classroom sessions and also take part in online learning through approved digital platforms (as specified by the Polytechnic).
How to Apply on the Polytechnic Portal
Applications are completed online through the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi admissions portal.
Applicants are required to:
- Visit the portal and click ONLINE ADMISSION.
- Enter the required details and generate a payment slip (RRR).
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of six thousand five hundred naira (₦6,500) at any bank.
- Return to the portal to complete the application using the assigned Application Number and the registered phone number.
Application Deadline
Completed applications must be submitted online within six (6) weeks from the date of the advertisement’s publication. The Polytechnic also directed eligible former students to apply for the Upgrade Programme.
