Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI) disclaimer on fake resumption memo

The management of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI) has released a public disclaimer about a memo that is spreading online. The memo claims that Monday, 26 February 2026 is the official resumption date for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

FUADSI said it noticed the message moving around on social media and other unofficial places. The school said the memo seems to be aimed at newly admitted students, parents and guardians, staff, and the general public.

The university said the memo is fraudulent and did not come from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor or any authorised management staff. FUADSI also said no resumption date for the first semester of the 2025/2026 session has been approved or announced at this time. So, anyone planning around that date should pause, because it is not from the school.

FUADSI said it stands for transparency, integrity, fairness, and due process in how it works and how it shares information. People are advised to ignore the fake memo and stick to verified channels for correct updates.

For official news and real announcements, FUADSI asked students, parents, and other stakeholders to check the university website at FUADSI official website for updates or reach the university registry using the proper contact channels.

The disclaimer was electronically signed by Mr Afolabi, Tunde Muritala, Registrar of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji.
