FULOKOJA 14th Matriculation Ceremony Details for 2025/2026 Fresh Students
The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has released details for its 14th Matriculation Ceremony for fresh students admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session. The notice spells out the date, venue, timing, and the steps new students must follow; it also sets deadlines (and the school means it).
Matriculation date, time, and venue
FULOKOJA scheduled the ceremony for Friday, January 30, 2026, by 4:00 pm. The venue is the University Auditorium at the College of Health Sciences (COHS) Campus, Lokoja.
Fresh students should note the Campus location; COHS is the meeting point for key activities linked to the event.
Registration and school charges deadline
A memorandum signed by Shamaki Nuhu Kaje, FCIA, Senior Deputy Registrar (Admissions Division), asked fresh students who have not completed registration and payment of school charges to do so on or before Sunday, Jan 25, 2026.
FULOKOJA attached a clear warning: students who fail to meet that deadline risk automatic withdrawal of admission. That is a direct instruction, not a suggestion.
Collection of matriculation gowns
Matriculation gowns will be available for collection from Wednesday, January 28, 2026, through respective Departmental Administrative Officers. Distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis; early pickup matters (late arrival may leave a student stranded).
What matriculating students must do on the day
FULOKOJA listed specific instructions for every matriculating student:
- Students are to gather at the COHS ICT car park by 1:30 pm for the procession to the venue by 2:30 pm.
- Each student must join the procession before it begins; late joiners will not be allowed.
- Students must be seated in the hall by 3:30 pm. After that, no entry or exit will be permitted.
- Students must wear the official matriculation gown to gain admission into the hall.
The timing is tight; a student who drifts in late may miss the full process.
Gown return deadline and late fee
FULOKOJA directed that gowns be returned in good condition on or before 2:00 pm on Monday, Feb 2, 2026. Any student who returns late will pay a late return fee of N5,000.
Message from the Vice-Chancellor
The Vice-Chancellor sent warm wishes to fresh students for a happy and memorable matriculation celebration. It is a brief message, but the key thing remains: follow the timeline and keep the gown safe.
