Federal University Otuoke recruitment: senior staff roles
Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) was set up in 2011 by an Act of Parliament of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to support learning. The university is in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. It runs full-time and part-time study, with a student population of over 17,000 (undergraduate and postgraduate). The staff strength is over 2,000.

Director of Health Services
Applicants should have M.B.B.S., B.D.S., or an equal medical degree, plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption. They must also have SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE O’Level credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
A Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (or equal) is required. A higher degree may help, but it is not a must.
The candidate must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and have at least eight (08) years post-qualification experience in clinical medicine and public health work in a similar health setting. The person must be ICT compliant. The candidate must not be older than sixty (60) years at the time of taking up duty.

Chief Legal Officer
The candidate must have LL.B and BL, plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption. The person must also have SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE O’Level credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
The role needs at least twelve (12) years post-call experience to the Nigerian Bar, plus other requirements listed in the Senior Staff Conditions of Service handbook (2023) PDF.
Deputy Director Public Relations
The candidate must have a good honours degree from a recognised university in Mass Communication, English Studies, or a related course in the Humanities or Social Sciences, plus NYSC certificate or evidence of exemption.
They must also have SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE O’Level credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. The role needs at least twelve (12) years relevant work experience, plus registered membership of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). All applications, with referee reports and NYSC certificate or exemption, should be sent under confidential cover. The envelope must be marked with the post desired (example: “Post Desired: Director of Health Services”) and addressed to the Registrar. The application must reach the Registrar not later than three (3) weeks from the date of the advert. Any application that arrives after 3:00 p.m. on the last day will not be accepted, even if it is close.
