IBBU Lapai Opens Hostel Portal for 2025/2026 Session
The Deanery of Student Affairs at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, has confirmed the start of undergraduate hostel registration for the 2025/2026 academic session.
A notice released through the Vice-Chancellor’s office explains that the undergraduate hostel accommodation portal will go live on Monday, 5 January 2026, by 10:00 pm (CAT).
The message, approved by the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Suleiman Mohammed Evuti, invites newly admitted students and eligible returning undergraduates to visit the hostel booking portal and reserve available bed spaces.
This update applies strictly to undergraduate students who meet the set conditions.
Hostel Booking Guidelines Students Should Read Carefully
Students planning to stay on campus are expected to follow these rules without exception.
- Access to the hostel portal becomes active only after full payment of school registration fees. No payment, no access.
- After paying accommodation charges, students must report to their assigned Hall Administrators to complete all paperwork before moving in.
- Hostel spaces are limited. Allocation works on a first come, first served basis, so delays may cost a spot.
- Any form of trading bed spaces, whether buying or selling, is not allowed. Students caught doing this face penalties listed in the Student Handbook.
- University hostel facilities should be handled with care. Damage or misuse attracts disciplinary steps.
The school management advised students to follow these instructions closely so the hostel allocation process stays calm and organised. Missing steps or rushing things may create issues later on.
