Lagos State University, Ojo, has opened applications for part-time and full-time postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The Postgraduate School invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for the listed programmes; the process is online, and the form comes with a non-refundable fee of N30,300.

General requirements

The University requires five credits at Ordinary Level for all courses, including English Language. Accepted exams listed in the notice are GCE, WASC, SSCE, Grade II Certificate, NECO and NABTEB. For Science, Social Sciences, Management Sciences and Educational Management courses, applicants must also have a credit in Mathematics.

LASU postgraduate application fee

Each applicant is required to pay Thirty Thousand, Three Hundred Naira, stated as N30,300.00, into the LASU account online. Every applicant must also sit for a qualifying entrance examination at the Lagos State University Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

How to apply for LASU postgraduate admission

The School directs applicants to begin the process through the LASU postgraduate application portal. The notice sets out these steps:

  1. Visit the LASU postgraduate application portal.
  2. Click “Step 1” to generate an Application Number.
  3. Supply basic bio-data details and select the Postgraduate Programme dropdown.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Copy the generated Application Number.
  6. Proceed to “Step 2” and make the required payment for the postgraduate application fee.
  7. After payment, return to the application page on “Step 3” to continue the application.
  8. Supply the Application Number and surname.
  9. Complete all required information.
  10. Print out the application form.

Closing date

Sale of application forms will close four weeks from the date of publication. The notice also states that application forms for all programmes must be submitted online, and each applicant must print out a copy of the e-Registration slip.

Notes for applicants

The notice gives a few direct instructions; each one matters.

  • Applicants who have not completed the National Youth Service Corps assignment need not apply.
  • Applicants still running current postgraduate programmes need not apply.
  • All academic transcripts must reach the School no later than two weeks after the close of sale of forms.
  • The University will not allow transfer of a processed application form from one department to another.
  • Applicants must attend the selection and written examinations in person, as no make-up test will be held.
  • Applicants are to include their e-mail addresses and phone numbers on the application form.
