OOU 35th Convocation Ceremonies (2024/2025 Session): Full Schedule, Fees, and Notice to Graduands

The Vice-Chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, on behalf of Council, Senate, Staff and Students, invites members of the University community and the general public to the 35th Convocation Ceremonies for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The ceremonies will hold from Thursday, 22nd Jan, 2026 to Saturday, 31 Jan, 2026 at the Main Campus, OOU, Ago-Iwoye.

What the convocation covers

The 35th convocation is for:

  • Award of Bachelor degrees
  • Award of Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD)
  • Award of Higher degrees
  • Conferment of Honorary degree(s)

Graduands are expected to pay the stipulated amount below before they can collect academic gowns.

Bachelors
Clearance/Certificate and Memorabilia Fee (Folder, Muffler, Lapel and Transcript): ₦85,000
Gown: –

Masters/PGD
Clearance/Certificate and Memorabilia Fee (Folder, Muffler, Lapel and Transcript): ₦60,000
Gown: –
Total: ₦60,000

Ph.D
Clearance/Certificate and Memorabilia Fee (Folder, Muffler, Lapel and Transcript): ₦65,000
Gown: ₦60,000
Total: ₦125,000

Gown collection date

Graduands are to collect academic gowns from Wednesday, 21st January, 2026 from their College/Faculty Officers.

Gown return deadline and penalty

Graduands are expected to return gowns in good condition not later than Wednesday, 4th Feb, 2026.

If a graduand fails to return the gown after the deadline, the University will apply heavy sanction, plus a penalty fee of ₦6,000 per week. This part is strict; students should Treat it seriously.

Important seating instruction

All graduands and guests are expected to be seated by 9.00 a.m.
