UNICROSS Matriculation Rescheduled 2025/2026

The University of Cross River State, UNICROSS, has rescheduled its 24th matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The ceremony had earlier been postponed indefinitely due to the strike action embarked upon by the Joint Action Congress, JAC, of the three non-teaching labour unions of the University. The new dates are now out; students and the public can take note.

Why the matriculation was postponed

UNICROSS said the matriculation ceremony was postponed indefinitely because of the strike action by JAC.

The action involved the three non-teaching labour unions of the University. That was the reason given for the earlier delay.

New matriculation dates by campus

The rescheduled dates for the 24th matriculation ceremony are as follows.

Calabar Campus

Calabar Campus will hold its matriculation ceremony on Monday, 16 March 2026.

Ogoja and Okuku Campuses

Ogoja and Okuku Campuses will hold their matriculation ceremony on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

Who should take note

The notice applies to staff, students and the general public.

All concerned have been advised to be properly guided for the necessary action. For matriculating students, the dates are now Fixed and campus-specific.
