General requirements for each cadre

Principal Lecturer (CONPCASS 08)

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised school, with at least 15 years of teaching, research, or industrial work experience in a higher school, or a PhD with 12 years of teaching, research, or industrial work experience. Registration with the relevant professional body is required.

Senior Lecturer (CONPCASS 07)

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised school with at least 12 years of teaching, research, or industrial work experience, or a PhD in the relevant discipline with at least 9 years of teaching, research, or industrial work experience. Registration with the relevant professional body is required.

Lecturer I (CONPCASS 06)

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised school with at least 6 years of experience, or a PhD in the relevant discipline with at least 3 years of teaching, research, or industrial work experience. Registration with the relevant professional body is required.

Lecturer II (CONPCASS 05)

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised school with at least 3 years post-qualification experience, or PhD teaching, research, or industrial work experience.

Lecturer III (CONPCASS 03)

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised school and an NYSC certificate.

Assistant Lecturer (CONPCASS 02)

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division from a recognised school, plus an NYSC certificate.

Technologist I (CONPCASS 03)

Candidates must hold an HND at Credit level in the relevant field from a recognised school, with at least 3 years post-qualification cognate experience.

Technologist II (CONPCASS 02)

Candidates must hold an HND at Credit level plus an NYSC certificate.

Instructor (CONPCASS 02)

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, or an HND at Credit level, plus an NYSC certificate.

Librarian II (CONPCASS 02)

Candidates must hold a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in Library Science, plus an NYSC certificate.

Senior Medical Officer I (CONMESS 04)

Candidates must hold MBBS, be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, and have at least 6 years post-qualification work experience.

Medical Officer I (CONMESS 03)

Candidates must hold MBBS, be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, and have an NYSC certificate.

Nursing Officer I (CONHESS 09)

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in Nursing, registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, and an NYSC certificate.

Architect II (CONTEDISS 08)

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognised school and be registered with the Architectural Registration Council of Nigeria.

Senior Foreman (CONTEDISS 07)

Candidates must hold Trade Test Certificate Grade I (NTC, Trade Test) and at least 6 years post-qualification cognate experience.

Medical Laboratory Scientist (CONTEDISS 08)

Candidates must hold a good degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognised school and be registerable with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Scientists/Technologists.
