Redeemer's University NUC Accreditation: Full List of Approved Programmes

Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has recorded strong results from the latest accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission, NUC.

Most of the academic programmes assessed earned full accreditation status.

NUC Accreditation Result Sent to Redeemer’s University

The results were sent to the Vice-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, ffan, fffps.

The letter was signed by Engineer Abraham Chudunsu, Director of Accreditation, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu.

The accreditation exercise formed part of the NUC October/November 2025 nationwide review of academic programmes in Nigerian universities; it was carried out under the statutory provisions for minimum academic standards.

Redeemer’s University Programmes With Full Accreditation

Several programmes across the university’s faculties received full accreditation.

The list cuts across Management Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Humanities, Computing and Digital Technology, Science, Built Environment, and Social Sciences.

Faculty of Management Sciences

The following programmes received full accreditation:

  • Actuarial Science
  • Marketing
  • Public Administration

Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences

The faculty recorded full accreditation for three major programmes:

  • Medical Laboratory Science
  • Nursing Science
  • Physiotherapy

Public Health received interim status.

Faculty of Humanities

Two programmes received full accreditation:

  • English
  • Philosophy

Faculty of Computing and Digital Technology

The newest faculty also recorded full accreditation for its assessed programmes.

They are:

  • Cyber Security
  • Information Technology

Faculty of Science

Redeemer’s University also received full accreditation for the following Science programmes:

  • Environmental Management and Toxicology
  • Industrial Mathematics and Computer Science
  • Statistics and Data Science

Faculty of Built Environment

Two programmes in the Faculty of Built Environment received full accreditation:

  • Building Technology
  • Urban and Regional Planning

Faculty of Social Sciences

The Faculty of Social Sciences also had two programmes with full accreditation:

  • Psychology
  • Social Work

What Full NUC Accreditation Means

NUC stated that full accreditation is valid for five years.

This means the affected programmes met the required standards for curriculum, staffing, facilities and academic delivery at the time of the accreditation exercise.

For Redeemer’s University, the result gives students and the university community a clear update on the current NUC status of the assessed courses.

Vice-Chancellor’s Comment on the Result

The Vice-Chancellor said the outcome points to Redeemer’s University’s steady investment in academic facilities, staff growth and programme relevance.

“This outcome highlights Redeemer’s University’s consistent investment in academic infrastructure, faculty development, and programme relevance, positioning it as a competitive player within Nigeria’s higher education landscape,” he noted.

He also described the result as proof of strategic leadership and a reaffirmation of Redeemer’s University’s mission to deliver globally competitive education.
