Rep. Unyime Idem has announced a scholarship programme for 200 undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. students from Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency who study in Nigerian federal universities.
The lawmaker, who represents Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and serves as Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, made the announcement through the Unyime Idem Education Scholarship Programme. The scheme forms part of his commitment to the educational progress of his constituents.
Who can apply
Applicants must come from Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency.
The programme is open to undergraduates, Masters students, and Ph.D. candidates in Nigerian federal universities. Only full-time students can apply; part-time students are not eligible.

- Accounting
- Law
- Computer Science/Engineering
What the scholarship covers
The scholarship status is full. It covers tuition, living expenses, and accommodation; that Full package is clearly stated in the notice.
Requirements for undergraduate applicants
Undergraduate applicants must be in 200 Level and above.
They must submit these documents:
- Evidence of statement of WAEC/SSCE/NECO results with at least 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than 2 sittings
- Letter of admission into the university
- Valid student identity card
- Last school fee receipt
- First year or preceding year academic transcript, duly signed and stamped by the HOD, Exams Officer, or any authorised staff
- Certificate of indigeneship, showing state of origin and local government
- NIN card or slip
- Personal statement of at least 1000 words stating reasons for undertaking the course of study
Requirements for Masters applicants
Masters applicants must have full-time admission into a federal university.
They must submit or meet the following:
- Full-time admission letter into any federal university
- Valid student identity card
- Last school fee receipt
- A minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2)
- Second Class Upper (2:1) has advantage
- At least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO results, in not more than 2 sittings, and the two results must precede the first degree
- NYSC certificate or letter of exemption
- Certificate of indigeneship, showing state of origin and local government
- NIN card or slip
- Personal statement of at least 1000 words stating reasons for undertaking the course of study
Requirements for Ph.D. applicants
Ph.D. applicants must also have full-time admission into a federal university.
They must submit or meet the following:
- Full-time admission letter into any federal university
- A minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2)
- Second Class Upper (2:1) has advantage
- Valid student identity card
- Last school fee receipt
- A minimum of merit in a second-degree certificate
- At least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO results, in not more than 2 sittings, and the two results must precede the first degree
- NYSC certificate or letter of exemption
- Certificate of indigeneship, showing state of origin and local government
- NIN card or slip
- Research area must be relevant
- Ph.D. research proposal of not more than 6 pages

Final note for applicants
