Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, UDUSOK, has announced the promotion of academic staff to the ranks of Professor and Reader.

The decision followed the outcome of the University’s 176th Governing Council meeting. The Council ratified the promotions at its sitting held on 1 April 2026, while the news was formally communicated in a Special UDUS News Bulletin issued on 2 April 2026 by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

The bulletin states that 30 scholars were promoted to the rank of Professor.
