ATBU Academic Calendar 2025 | Undergraduate

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has released the academic calendar for undergraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 session. The calendar, approved by the university management, outlines key activities for the academic year.

First Semester Schedule

• Online Registration (100L–500L): 16th December 2024 – 7th January 2025 (23 days).
• Returning Students Resumption (300L–500L): 6th January 2025 (1 day).
• Physical Registration (300L–500L): 6th – 7th January 2025 (2 days).
• Late Physical Registration with Fine (300L–500L): 8th – 12th January 2025 (5 days).
• Arrival of Fresh 100L, 200L, and Returning 200L Students: 8th January 2025 (1 day).
• Physical Registration (100L–200L): 8th – 9th January 2025 (2 days).
• Late Physical Registration with Fine (100L–200L): 10th – 13th January 2025 (4 days).
• Matriculation Ceremony: 24th January 2025 (1 day).
• Orientation (Fresh Students): 24th – 26th January 2025 (3 days).
• Lectures (300L–500L): 8th January – 28th March 2025 (12 weeks).
• Lectures (100L–200L): 13th January – 28th March 2025 (11 weeks).
• Add and Drop Period: 10th – 14th February 2025 (5 days).
• Revision and Display of C.A. Results: 1st – 6th April 2025 (5 days).
• First Semester Examinations: 7th April – 3rd May 2025 (4 weeks).
• Marking Period: 7th April – 17th May 2025 (6 weeks).
• Board of Studies Meetings: 19th – 22nd May 2025 (4 days).
• SBC Meeting: 23rd – 26th May 2025 (4 days).
• Senate Examination Meeting: 29th May 2025 (1 day).
• Inter-Semester Break: 4th – 29th May 2025 (4 weeks).

Second Semester Schedule

• Resumption for All Students: 30th May 2025 (1 day).
• Registration for All Students: 30th May – 1st June 2025 (3 days).
• Late Registration with Fine: 2nd – 4th June 2025 (3 days).
• Lectures for All Students: 2nd June – 23rd August 2025 (12 weeks).
• Add and Drop Period: 30th June – 4th July 2025 (5 days).
• Revision and Display of C.A. Results: 24th – 28th August 2025 (5 days).
• Second Semester Examinations: 29th August – 28th September 2025 (4 weeks).
• Marking Period: 29th August – 12th October 2025 (6 weeks).
• Board of Studies Meetings: 13th – 16th October 2025 (4 days).
• SBC Meeting: 17th – 20th October 2025 (4 days).
• Senate Examination Meeting: 23rd October 2025 (1 day).
• Vacation for All Students: 29th September – 4th December 2025 (10 weeks).
• Academic Staff Annual Leave: 24th October – 4th December 2025 (42 days).

Commencement of 2025/2026 Session
