Common Entrance Exam Registration Form 2025 for Unity Schools

The 2025 National Common Entrance Examination will take place on Saturday 14 June across all states in Nigeria. This post explains the age rule, online registration steps, exam subjects, fees, school list, and closing date. Go through each section carefully to avoid missing any step.

Register for 2025 National Common Entrance Exam into JSS 1

The National Examinations Council has fixed the National Common Entrance Examination into JSS 1 of Federal Unity Colleges for Saturday 14 June 2025.

The test will take place across all states.

Each candidate must meet the age rule and follow the process to register online.

Know the Age Requirement

Only pupils in their final year of primary school are allowed to register.

Each pupil must be at least 10 years old by September 2025.

Follow the Online Registration Steps

The registration is only online.

Each candidate must be entered through the NECO portal.

Follow these steps to register:

  1. Open the registration site.
  2. Create an account using a phone number and email.
  3. Check email and activate the account.
  4. Choose one of the payment methods listed.
  5. Enter the candidate’s details.
  6. Upload a passport-size photo.
  7. Print the photocard.

The registration fee is ₦5,940 per pupil.

The payment is made only on the portal.

These payment methods are allowed:

  • Card
  • Bank branch
  • USSD
  • Internet banking
  • Wallet
  • eNaira

Bank transfer is not accepted.

Avoid These After Registration

After registration, you cannot:

  • Change exam centre
  • Change name or photo
  • Choose again if the chosen college is full

Candidates who select schools that are full may be posted to another school.

There are two papers.

Each paper has two parts.

Paper I includes

  • Mathematics
  • Basic Science and Technology
  • English Studies
  • National Values Education

Paper II includes

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Vocational Aptitude
  • Verbal Aptitude
