AFIT Remedial Admission Form 2025/2026
The Air Force Institute of Technology has opened applications for its remedial programme for 2025/2026. The course runs for one session, split into two semesters, and helps candidates who missed JAMB cut-off or lacked required O’level subjects. The Air Force Institute of Technology has thrown open the gates again, this time for its remedial programme. Think of it as a second rope lowered into the well, for those who did not quite reach the mark at the first try. Maybe JAMB score fell short, maybe English or Maths slipped through your fingers, this could be the road back.
The session runs for one full academic year, split neatly into two semesters. There will be lectures, tests, and exams, like any other proper course. It is a chance to cover lost ground and move forward with a degree path.
Who the programme is for
Some folks might wonder, who is this really meant for? The answer is simple.
- Candidates who failed to meet JAMB cut-off mark
- Applicants who had earlier chosen AFIT or any other school
- Students with some O’level credits, but still missing English or Mathematics
The rule is clear though. Any subject missing at O’level must be cleared before stepping fully into a degree course.
The entry doors
Social and Management Sciences
- Five credit passes at O’level from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB
- Results accepted in no more than two sittings
- English and Mathematics are compulsory
- Two credits must come from Social Arts subjects, while the others from Social Sciences
Engineering and Sciences
- Credit passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
- From WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, not beyond two sittings
It might sound strict, but it sets the stage right.
What comes next after remedial
Passing the remedial exams is one step. Meeting the UTME cut-off is another. Those who manage both, and still perform well, will be considered for admission into degree programmes. Of course, that depends also on available space in the chosen course. It is not automatic, but it is a fair road.

- Go to the AFIT remedial application portal
- Click on the 2025/2026 session link
- Fill the online form carefully
- Pay ₦10,000 with an Interswitch-enabled ATM card
- Print the completed form and keep it safe, along with your O’level result slip, for registration day
The deadline has not been fixed yet. Best not to wait till the portal slows down or closes.
