Admission Requirements
For MPhil (Terminal)
- Must have a master’s degree in a related course
- Grade between 50% and 54.99% or CGPA of 2.50–2.99
- Academic transcript must be provided
For MPhil/PhD (Conversion Route)
- Master’s result between 55% and 59.99% or CGPA of 3.00–3.99
- Include transcripts, a research proposal, and letters from academic referees
For PhD
- Master’s degree with 60% or above, or CGPA of at least 4.00
- Submit transcripts and a research proposal
- Letters from academic referees also required
Notes You Shouldn’t Skip
- Candidates with a professional master’s (no research component) can’t go straight into a PhD. They’ll need to take the MPhil/PhD route
- Those in the MPhil/PhD path must score at least 60% in MPhil coursework to move forward
- Falling short means you’ll finish with a terminal MPhil degree
- Applicants who don’t meet up may still be advised to begin with MPhil
