Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, in partnership with the University of Maiduguri, is now admitting students into its 2025/2026 PGD in Mass Communication. The one-session programme runs fully in Bauchi and is open to both degree and HND holders. Read on for how to apply and meet the deadline.

PGD in Mass Communication Opens at FPTB for 2025/2026

Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB), through its link with the University of Maiduguri, has kicked off admissions for the 2025/2026 Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Mass Communication. If you’re hoping to sharpen your media skills or shift into communication work, this course could be a practical next step.

Who Can Apply?

The programme accepts:

  • Graduates with a degree in Mass Communication or a related field from an approved university
  • HND holders with at least a Lower Credit in Mass Communication or something close, from an NBTE-recognised polytechnic

This includes applicants from UNIMAID or other accredited schools.

Course Duration

The programme runs for one academic session, split across two semesters. All lectures and practicals take place on FPTB’s main campus in Bauchi.

How to Apply

Here’s the process:

  1. Pay ₦15,000 application fee at any Unity Bank branch

  2. Present your payment proof at the Directorate of University Affiliations & Linkages to collect your online application PIN
  3. Log on to the application portal and fill out your form

Deadline to Apply:

All applications must be completed by 30 November 2025. No grace period has been announced, so don’t wait till the last week.
