FUE Zaria Academic Calendar 2025

Federal University of Education (FUE), Zaria has released its revised calendar for all NCE levels. Whether you’re in NCE I, II, or III, the schedule tells you when to register, attend classes, go on break, and sit your exams. It’s a long session, so keeping these dates handy will save you stress later.

First Semester Schedule (NCE I, II & III)

Teaching Practice

• NCE III: Monday, 21 October 2024 to Friday, 7 February 2025 (16 weeks)

Registration

• All students: 21 October to 1 November 2024 (2 weeks)

Lectures Before Break

• 11 November to 13 December 2024 (5 weeks)

Holiday Break

• Christmas and New Year: 14 December 2024 to 5 January 2025

Lectures Resume

• 6 January to 14 March 2025 (10 weeks)

Short Mid-Semester Break

• Includes Eid al-Fitr: 15 March to 6 April 2025

Exam Prep and Exams

• Prep period: 7 to 15 April 2025
• Exams: 16 to 25 April 2025 (3 weeks)

Labour Day on Thursday, 1 May 2025 will be observed

End of Semester Break

• 28 April to 16 May 2025 (includes Democracy Day and Eid al-Adha)

General Break for All Levels

• 17 May to 15 June 2025

Second Semester Schedule (NCE I, II & III)

Lectures Begin

• 16 June to 25 July 2025 (6 weeks)

Mid-Semester Break

• 26 July to 3 August 2025 (1 week)

Classes Continue

• 4 August to 4 September 2025 (5 weeks)

Exams

  Independence Day falls on Wednesday, 1 October 2025

When Next Session Starts

The 2025/2026 academic session begins on Monday, 24 November 2025. That gives a month for rest or catch-up before things start again.
