The Cut-Off Marks (No Sugar-Coating Here)

150 UTME Score

This is the base level. Think of it like the ground floor — it gets you through the door for most courses in:

• Sciences
• Education
• Arts & Social Sciences

It’s the widest gate. But it’s not open to everyone. Only if you’ve hit at least 150.

170 UTME Score

Now we’re getting warmer. This one’s for Computer Science. Not exactly rocket science, but GSU expects a bit more grit if you’re heading into tech.

180 UTME Score

This one’s for Nursing. You’ll need a sharper score here — no one wants someone shaky holding a syringe.

200 UTME Score

The big one. Medicine, Pharmacy, and Law. These are courses where expectations skyrocket — and so do the score requirements.

If your UTME is below 200 and you had your heart set on any of these, time to be realistic. Doesn’t mean your dream’s over. Just that you may have to take another route.

Didn’t Meet the Mark? Here’s What You Can Actually Do

Don’t waste time sulking. People change courses and end up finding their real calling. Or at least something that still gets them into school.

3. Confirm your changes and save them

What Comes After the Cut-Off?
