Kwara College of Health Tech, Offa Debunks False Security Alert

The Management of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa has responded to a false message shared across social media claiming that bandits entered the campus.
The College states clearly that the claim is untrue and has no link to any real event. There has been no breach of security on the campus. Activities are calm, and classes are running as usual.
Early checks show that a small group of people may have spread the rumour without thinking about the effect on others. The Management considers this act very serious because it has caused fear among students, parents, staff, and members of the public.
The College Security Department, working with security agencies, has confirmed that the campus and nearby areas remain safe.
The Provost, Elder Ayanshola Benjamin, explained that the College is worried about how quickly the false report spread. He restated that the safety of students and staff remains a core duty. He also said the College has strong security measures in place and is tracing the source of the rumour. Anyone found responsible will face disciplinary action based on the College’s rules and the law.
The Management asks students, parents, and the public to:
- Ignore the false message in full.
- Stop sharing the unverified post.
- Rely only on official updates from the College. These include the College website, verified social media pages, and notices from the Office of the Registrar.
The College remains focused on keeping a safe and calm place for learning and research. The Management calls for calm and for careful use of social media.
